What does accountability look like in Healthcare Mobility?

Four years ago, our average Driver Performance Score was 66%. That wasn't necessarily a reflection of bad drivers—it was our baseline, and it exposed something important: we couldn't improve what we weren't measuring.
So we went to work. We installed camera and GPS technology throughout our fleet, began consistently measuring driver performance, coached around the data, and created a bonus program that rewards safe driving habits.
Today, with approximately 30 drivers, our average Driver Performance Score has exceeded 99% for each of the past three months.
That's what we mean when we talk about accountability in Healthcare Mobility.

When you're transporting seniors, patients with disabilities, individuals in wheelchairs, or people recovering from illness or injury, getting from Point A to Point B isn't enough. Safety, driver behavior, on-time performance, training, equipment and the passenger experience should all be measurable—and providers should be willing to be held accountable for the results.
Technology alone didn't take us from 66% to 99%. Measurement, training, coaching, incentives and a culture of continuous improvement did.
Safe. Comfortable. Accredited. Reliable. On time. And accountable.
That's the 360 way.
If your organization outsources transportation, there is a simple question worth asking your provider: “How do you measure driver performance—and can you show us the results?”
