Fraud, waste and abuse remains a significant challenge in non-emergency medical transportation. MTM alone reports investigating more than 23,000 potential FWA cases in 2025, with roughly one-third of its valid cases involving transportation providers.

That's significant—and it raises an important question:

If we can measure the claim, why aren't we doing more to measure the ride?
